Premier Tourism Marketing Partners with Faith Travel Development to Produce Religious Travel Planning Guide

PressRelease

Cindi Brodhecker to speak at Going On Faith Conference

JOPLIN, Mo. ‑ A woman who let her faith make her next career choice will speak at the August 24-26 Going On Faith Conference in Joplin, Mo.

Formerly a business development manager for MTS Travel, Cindi Brodhecker started Faith Travel Development and Consulting in 2007 to aid group leaders, church leaders and the travel industry in developing faith-based tours. Her connection with the religious travel industry has spanned more than 15 years at MTS Travel where she sold trips and led preview tours to destinations such as Greece, Turkey, Israel, Germany and Italy.

Currently, she serves as a member of the World Religious Travel Association to help promote the $18 billion faith travel industry. Brodhecker plans the trips, while her two European religious travel companies handle the details like pricing and ticketing.

Faith Travel Development and Consulting can help organize a number of religious-themed trips, such as following in the footsteps of Jesus, the Apostle Paul, St. John and Martin Luther. Though her main focus is Christian travel, both of her European clients offer Jewish heritage tours as well.

Brodhecker states that her faith “makes me what I am.” Her grandfather from Greece and husband from Germany helped develop her passion for traveling in places with Christian ties.

By speaking with pastors, tourist associations and other prospective religious travel clients, Brodhecker works to show the benefits of religious travel. Brodhecker claims that when people travel on a week’s overseas trip, they can become closer than mere Sunday morning acquaintances. She also stresses to church leaders the merit of having a five-year travel plan so their congregations can include faith-based trips when choosing their personal vacations.
